School Grounds and Early Learning

For our Nursery and Preschool pupils, designated play areas and access to wider facilities are provided. As pupils progress through Years 1 and 2, two spacious play areas with all-weather surfaces offer safe and engaging environments for play and outdoor learning.

Exciting Facilities for Years 3 and Beyond

As our pupils progress to Year 3 and beyond, they embark on an exciting journey of exploration and sports education. For their twice-weekly games lessons, they venture to the nearby Swansea University Sports Centre, offering exclusive access to first class facilities, including an indoor track and versatile outdoor pitches. They also have the opportunity to visit other sports centres including David Lloyd Swansea, Warehouse Gym, Swansea Gymnastic Centre any many more.

Swimming lessons take place at the Wales National Pool, where pupils can enjoy the use of both 25m and 50m pools.

Cwmdonkin Park: A Place of Enrichment

Adjacent to our school is the picturesque Cwmdonkin Park, renowned for its close association with poet Dylan Thomas. Recently, the park has undergone a comprehensive regeneration programme, enhancing its amenities and draw.

At Oakleigh House School, we fully utilise this natural gem for various activities, including exploration walks and various sporting endeavours. During holiday club sessions, children relish their visits to the park's extensive play area, further strengthening their bond with the natural world.
